Your best work comes when you’re absorbed; because then your ego is away.’ – Keith Johnstone  \nThis course will examine more niche areas of improvisation like genre work\, status\, puppetry\, mime\, and more advanced scene-work. As a small ensemble you will work towards a wholly original showcase performance with discovery at the heart of the course! \nAdvanced Improv is for performers who are comfortable and proficient performing in a variety of games and exercises on stage. Acceptance into advanced improvisation is by recommendation only.

DESCRIPTION:JUMP TO REGISTRATION \nJoin our Drama Youth Ensemble to hone your theatre craft and work towards producing a full production on our stage! \nThis class will teach teens and young adults how to become part of a professional theatre production. Participants are encouraged to take ownership of their learning by involving them in every aspect of creating a polished\, full-scale show. From script selection to set design and marketing\, students will gain invaluable insights into the detailed workings of a professional theatre. \nDuring the course of the term participants will develop their skills in character development\, stage-craft\, collaboration and professionalism. \nDrama Youth Ensemble is tailor-made for teens and young adults who have taken drama classes at the Playhouse\, are passionate about theatre\, and are ready to take their skills to the next level. Entry to the class is by invitation & audition only. \n
