For committed young performers aged 9–11, our Drama Production Class is a structured and exciting deep-dive into putting on a full theatre show. Over the course of three terms, participants will work toward a staged production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory — performed in front of a public audience with costumes, props, lighting and sound.
Designed for children with previous drama experience (either with us or elsewhere), this course will develop advanced acting skills, build ensemble awareness, and create memorable stage moments through:
Over three terms, students will learn:
Term 1: Choreography and movement
Term 2: Ensemble and scene-work
Term 3: Rehearsals, blocking, and a fully-staged performance
Show dates: Saturday 6th June 5:30pm – 6:30pm & Friday 12th June from 3:30pm – 4:30pm
The course concludes with two public performances on stage in full costume and technical lighting and sound.
Entry is by audition (Saturday 30th August) or invitation only. Class sizes will be limited to ensure focus and individual attention.
While fees are paid termly, students who audition and are accepted must commit to attending all three terms, including full participation in dress rehearsals and both final performances.
