INTRODUCTION


1.1.This section sets out the Terms and Conditions by which the Courtyard Playhouse agrees to provide products and services to the students.

1.2 When you book or purchase any product or service from us, you are signifying your agreement to these terms and conditions.

1.3 We reserve the right to modify, cancel or append to these Terms and Conditions. On purchase of any Courtyard Playhouse product or service, the most recent Terms and Conditions shall apply. These always appear on our website.

CLASSES

2.1 Refunds

2.1.1 Any refund requested prior to 45 days before the start of the Booked Course will be made in full. 

2.1.2 Any refund requested after 45 days before the start of class, no refund will be offered.

2.1. 3 All refund requests must be made by Written Notification and must be sent by email to workshops@courtyardplayhouse.com or by hand written letter. SMS, text message notifications will not be considered satisfactory and refunds will not be prepared as a result of their receipt.

2.1.4 In the event of the Courtyard Playhouse taking the decision to cancel a class, event, camp or showcase at our sole discretion an offer of an alternative time, exchange, credit or refund will be made.

2.1.5 In the event of a major natural disaster, terrorist event, or government instruction for whatever reason, the Playhouse will offer credit against the delivery of the services at a later date, or an alternative means of completing the course. In the event of cancellation to any program or workshop, that is outside The Courtyard Playhouses control. An alternative solution will be made to complete the program or course. No cash refunds will be offered.

2.2 Sign-Up

2.2.1 Booked Courses

2.2.1.1 Courses will run on a certain amount of consecutive weeks during Term-time and may span short holidays. The course can only be booked as a full term, not as singular sessions.

2.2.1.2 A Course Schedule will be sent to you with the dates and times of the course. It is your responsibility to make yourself aware of these and ensure you are on time.

2.2.1.3 Once payment has been made as per section 2.2.2 below, the Course becomes a Booked Course.

2.2.2 Payment

2.2.2.1 The cost of Courses are given on the website. Valid methods of payment are cash, credit card on site or on our website.

2.2.2.2 A Course is not considered booked until the Course fees has been received either via online payment, bank transfer or in person at the theatre. The space in the class will not be secure until full payment has been made

2.2.2.3 Special requests for deferred payment plans must be made by email to workshops@courtyardplayhouse.com.

2.2.2.4 We reserve the right to offer discounts at our own discretion. Once payment and registration has been made one is not entitled to a discount that then becomes present.

2.2.2.5 If full payment is not received by the end of the first booked session, we reserve the right to suspend student’s attendance to all further sessions and to offer your place to a student on the waiting list, if such exists.


2.3 Switching

2.3.1 If the student wishes to switch to a similar Course at a different time to their current Booked Course, you must notify us at least 7 days prior to the intended first switched session by email to workshops@courtyardplayhouse. This is subject to availability in the requested Switched Course.

2.4 Missed Sessions

2.4.1 Sessions missed for any reason will not be discounted or refunded.

2.4.2 If you miss a booked session for any reason, it is your responsibility to let us know by email to workshops@courtyardplayhouse.com in order for our instructors to assist and let you know what has been missed.

2.4.3 We do not offer make-up classes for missed sessions with the exception of public holidays. If a class falls on a public holiday customers may contact our workshops team at workshops@courtyardplayhouse.com to arrange a make-up session. Make-up classes are subject to availability and may be denied if the class is at full capacity.


2.5 Vouchers

2.5.1 Vouchers purchased are non-refundable.

2.5.2 Vouchers are valid for a period of one year from the date of purchase.

2.5.3 Services purchased using your voucher are subject to availability at the time of claiming.

2.5.4 Gift Vouchers may not be redeemed for cash. No credit or change will be given on the unused portion of the Voucher.


LIABILITY WAIVER


3.1 Cancellations and Venue Changes

3.1.1 We reserve the right to cancel any Sessions, Courses, or holiday workshops or any other service at any time up to and including the date the activity starts. Should this occur we will endeavor to give you at least 7 days notice and will attempt to offer you a viable alternative or will offer you a credit/refund of any fee paid.

3.1.2 We reserve the right to occasionally change the venue of a Session, Course or holiday workshop or any other activity. In such a case, we will endeavor to ensure that the alternative venue is within a short distance from the original venue.


3.1.3 The Courtyard Playhouse venues consists of our Main Auditorium, Improv studio and Actors studio. By registering for a workshop this means the session may run in any of these 3 venues. There is no guarantee your class will be in the Main Auditorium.


3.2 Personal Injury

3.2.1 We accept students on the assumption that they are in good health and it is your responsibility to alert us of any medical complaint or history.

3.2.2 We will not be held liable for any loss or any damage arising from errors or omissions on the Registration form.

3.2.3 The courses may include a number of physical exercises. Students are made aware of the safety issues involved and participate at their own risk.

3.2.4 The Courtyard Playhouse cannot be held liable for death or personal injury to any person attending workshops or any activity related to The Courtyard Playhouse or otherwise.


3.3 Personal Property

4.3.1 We do not accept responsibility for any loss of or damage to, personal property belonging to the student irrespective of whether such possessions might be used by the student for the purposes of any Courtyard Playhouse activity except in the case that the loss or damage is caused by the negligence of any of our staff.


3.4 Use of Personal Information

3.4.1 We may monitor and record communications with you for quality assurance, legal and training purposes.

3.5 Contact

4.5.1 You may contact us by calling the contact number found on our website or by sending an email to hello@courtyardplayhouse.com.

4.5.2 We may contact you by telephone, email, whatsapp or SMS text. Notification sent to you by email, whatsapp or SMS text will be considered received by you within one working day.

4.5.3 It is your responsibility to ensure that we have current and correct contact details for you. It is your responsibility to check you communications and inform us if you are not reciving messages.


3.6 Photography and Videography

3.6.1 During your course and final performance at at our venue, photos or videos may be taken. The Courtyard Playhouse reserves the right to use this media for marketing purposes online, on social media, on YouTube or on our website. The Courtyard Playhouse will not sell or otherwise distribute your image for any purposes unrelated to The Courtyard Playhouse. By entering the venue you are consenting to this footage being captured and shared on social media. If you object it is your responsibility to inform our reception upon entry. You will then have to remove yourself from the photographed area. If this applies to a child under the age of 8 years old, a highly visible sticker will be placed upon the child’s top on each visit to make all staff aware.
