Improv

Whether it’s for performance or just a fun hobby, improvisation skills can make children more aware of the subtle messages all around them. It can make them respond quicker than they normally would. It can lower the fear level associated with risk taking. Besides being useful in every area of life, improvisation is just plain fun and a great way to make life-long friendships!

Drama

Our drama classes for kids and teens are designed to give children an excellent grounding in scripted acting with qualified teachers in a beautiful theatre setting and a creative, vibrant community atmosphere. The theatre fosters life skills such as confidence, public speaking skills, team-work, imagination, communication and literacy.

Musical Theatre

Musical Theatre is storytelling through acting, singing and dance or movement. Our Musical Theatre classes are designed to give participants a solid grounding in all three disciplines and allow them to discover the joy, and magic, of their coming together in a musical production.

Holiday Camps

Every holiday we run a series of popular theatre camps for all ages, from Julia Donaldson Storytelling to Junior Improv Camps, there’s always something fun going on at the Playhouse!

Schools’ Programme
