Join our Drama Youth Ensemble to hone your theatre craft and work towards producing a full production on our stage!
This class will teach teens and young adults how to become part of a professional theatre production. Participants are encouraged to take ownership of their learning by involving them in the different aspects of creating a polished show.
During the course of the term participants will develop their skills in character development, stage-craft, collaboration and professionalism.
Drama Youth Ensemble is tailor-made for teens and young adults who have taken drama classes at the Playhouse, are passionate about theatre, and are ready to take their skills to the next level. Entry to the class is by invitation & audition only.
In Term 3 we will combine skills learned in previous terms to produce a finished piece to present at the end of the Term. The classes will focus on integrating physical movement with vocal performance, creating a dynamic, multi-layered performance. Participants will combine masks and physical theatre techniques with character-driven vocal work to build a unique performance.
