In this intensive Full Masks workshop, participants will explore the transformative power of physical expression, allowing the mask’s emotions to flow through their body movements. This workshop introduces participants to the art of silent storytelling, guiding them in embodying different characters and experimenting with varied states of tension to develop compelling masked personas and scenes.
Mask theatre is a powerful tool for uncovering hidden strengths, enabling actors to express freely through their body, engage with the space, and interact dynamically with their surroundings.
About Frederico Beja:
Frederico is a director, improviser, and stand-up comedian. After a decade spent behind the film camera, Fred made the leap to performing—initially to enhance his directing skills, but after discovering a passion for improv, he’s been performing regularly for the past five years. Fred is also an improv instructor, teaching kids, teens, and adults, and a facilitator for corporate training.
As an improviser, Fred has a deep love for physical theatre, including mime, clowning, and mask work. His engaging and interactive masked performances often involve the audience as participants, exploring themes of provocation and even defiance.
