This intensive is a combination of Tim’s career-changing workshops “In It Together”, and “Playing Characters Who Actually Like Each Other”. You’ll never be the same improviser again!

It’s thrilling to make choices that throw our characters into situations they’re facing together: prisoners escaping, bank robbers, revolutionaries! How do we do this with commitment and variety, and with the ability to move forward in the scene/story with this lack of conflict between the players?

Learn how to play people who get along with the other characters in the scene. Is there really a need for conflict and trouble between the characters in scenes? By getting along and liking each other, a whole new world of conflict-free detail opens up.

About Tim Orr:

Tim Orr, an improviser since 1988, has performed with notable San Francisco groups like BATS Improv, True Fiction Magazine, and 3 FOR ALL. In 2009, he founded Improv Playhouse SF, aiming to teach nationally and internationally in improv formats such as The Naked Stage and Shakespeare.

With critical acclaim for roles in improvised films like Suckerfish, Tim co-wrote and originated the role of Dirk Manly in An Evening with Dirk & Blaine alongside Stephen Kearin. He directed BATS Improv long-form courses, taught at various venues nationally and internationally, and performed in plays across the San Francisco Bay Area.
