Musical improv is storytelling through songs made up in the moment, based on audience suggestions. It is one of the most fun forms of improv and is easier than you might think! Through games and exercises with our talented instructors, you will learn about structure, rhythm, melody, narrative and how it all comes together into a full-length musical show!

Over the course of 6 weeks we will practice rock ballads, blues numbers, solo, show-stopping love duets (although this is improv so it may be between you and a caterpillar called Frank) and even synchronised dancing. We will explore how scenes can segue seamlessly into song and you will have the opportunity to perform a short musical in front of a packed audience at the Courtyard Playhouse theatre!

This course is ideal for anyone who has completed Don’t Panic. No prior singing experience required.
