This two day masterclass with the Award-Winning Comedian from Laugh Factory USA, Saad Haroon, aims to take you up a level in your stand-up comedy career. Whether you are a beginner, an intermediate or a regular performer, the masterclass is designed to help structure your performance and find the funny beyond the fear!
You will leave the masterclass knowing the basics of stand-up comedy. From basic technical skills that every comic should know to tricks and tips to help you onstage. Moreover, you will learn how to find the joke hidden in your ideas and also have the opportunity to perform for your friends and family through a showcase event especially curated for the participants.
This class is for anyone who wants to try their hand at stand up comedy or who is already a performer looking to up their game.
IMPORTANT MANDATORY PREREQUISITE:
All people looking to attend the class must come with 3-5 min of writing prepared. DONT PANIC… This can be any writing, jokes, stories, rough ideas, anecdotes from childhood, anything you want to work on and craft into jokes you would one day like to do onstage. Together we will go over the writing to help craft it into a stand up comedy set!
About Saad Haroon
Awarded 2nd place in the Funniest Person In The World Competition, Saad Haroon is a world renowned Comedian, Writer and Performer.
A comedy pioneer, he created Pakistan’s first improvisational comedy troupe ‘BlackFish’ which performed weekly for three year and was also selected to perform at ‘Contacting The World’, one of the worlds largest international theatre festivals.
He has written five solo shows and performed in prestigious venues all over the world including the Southbank Centre in London and the world famous Laugh Factory in Hollywood. He created, hosted and was head-writer for ‘The Real News’ Pakistan’s first English language comedy show on television.
His work has been featured in publications and news media over the world including The Huffington Post, NPR, The Guardian, BBC, AlJazeera, The Telegraph, The Young Turks, and many more.
He was host of the morning show on CityFM 89, making millions of people happy everyday on one of the highest rated radio shows in the country!
