🚀 Build spaceships, 🐉 battle dragons, 🎅 catch Santa — the kids guide the action, and our fearless improvisers jump right in. And next week, Kathy’s book will be part of the adventure too!

It’s theatre, storytelling, and pure imagination rolled into one unforgettable morning. Plus — Kathy will be signing books after the show!

We’re thrilled to finally share some big news with you — our international guest instructor this season is none other than Andrew Gentilli!

Andrew isn’t just an incredible performer, he’s someone who’s dedicated his life to improv, acting, and storytelling. From training in Oxford and London, to studying improv across Chicago, New York, Texas, Canada and Europe, he’s brought that passion to stages and classrooms all over the world.

You might know him from Music Box: The Improvised Comedy Musical, his two-prov team BEINGS with Susan Harrison, or from shows like The Inflatables and Storybag.

And this October, we get to welcome him to Dubai for a whole month of magic. He’ll be joining us on stage for Monday Night Comedy, Maestro, his very own special show BEINGS — and, for those who want to dive even deeper, he’ll be teaching a 3-day Musical Improv Intensive here at the Playhouse.

We honestly can’t wait for our community to meet Andrew, learn from him, and share in the joy he brings to every stage he steps on. Welcome to Dubai, Andrew — let the magic begin!

On Saturday, 20th September, we’re bringing back one of NT Live’s most electrifying productions — Frankenstein, directed by Academy Award-winner Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire, Trainspotting).

Starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller, who famously swapped roles each night as Victor Frankenstein and his Creature, this sold-out 2011 production became an international sensation. A gripping Gothic tale of creation, cruelty, and the fine line between good and evil, it’s as haunting today as it was when it first lit up the stage.

We’re the only theatre in Dubai licensed to screen NT Live productions — so if you’ve ever wanted to experience this iconic performance, this is your chance.
